Dwarf fortress how to cancel Mining order

To cancel a mining order in Dwarf Fortress, follow these steps:

  1. Select the mining designation you wish to cancel by using the ‘d’ key to enter Designations mode and then selecting ‘d’ again to enter the mining submenu.
  2. Use the arrow keys to navigate to the mining order you wish to cancel.
  3. Press the ‘x’ key to remove the designation.
  4. Confirm that you wish to cancel the mining order by pressing ‘y’.

Note that if dwarves have already started mining the area. Canceling the order will not stop them from completing the task. In this case, you will need to use the ‘q’ key to view the job queue. Find the mining task, and then cancel it by selecting it and pressing ‘x’ and ‘y’ as above.

The quickest and easiest way to cancel a mining order in Dwarf Fortress is to follow these simple steps:

  1. Press ‘d’ to enter Designations mode.

  4. Press ‘x’ to remove the designation.

  1. Canceled mining orders will not refund any resources that were spent on them. If you cancel a mining order, any digging or construction work.   3. To avoid accidentally canceling a mining order. You can use the ‘q’ key to view the job queue and check the progress of any active mining tasks. This will allow you to see which areas are being work on and which tasks are pending. So you can avoid accidentally canceling a task that is still in progress. Additionally, you can use the ‘t’ key to toggle task highlighting, showing you all active and pending jobs in the game world.
